Bahrain International eGovernment Forum 9th Edition is Held in October

Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak AlKhalifa, Deputy Prime Minister Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology; the 9th edition of Bahrain International eGovernment Forum 2018 events will be held by the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) on 7th & 8th October.


On such occasion, iGA Chief Executive Mr. Mohamed Ali AlQaed stressed the importance of conducting the forum that attracts experts and specialists in utilizing advanced ICT around the world. The forum’s atmosphere encourages the adoption of innovations, exchange of successful experiences in the fields of IT and eGovernment as well as increases participation. He also highlighted the role played by the forum in introducing and spreading knowledge - enabling officials to take decisions in order to smoothly complete work in a low-cost and present it in a safe online environment.

The forum comes in its 9th edition with a variety of presented papers on the latest ICT developments. More than 400 participants are expected to take part and become familiar with the diversified experiences in IT and innovative programs in the field.

Specialized papers will comprise several topics about cloud computing, ePayment initiatives, Smart City Technologies, Information Security, eTransformation amongst many others. The forum will also highlight the current trend in adopting the latest technologies such as financial Technology, Block Chain, Data Analysis and future trends to benefit when implementing development policies in the country. The forum will also address key national and regional success stories in the ICT field.
