In light of receiving projects for the award via www.egovaward.bh; the committee highlighted the extension of the submission deadline considering the increasing demand and response of individuals as well as entities interested to register and obtain additional time to enable them to prepare registration requirements and submit their projects at their best.
It is worth mentioning that doors remain open for government entities to register in the following categories ‘Best eGovernment Website’, ‘Best Government-to-Government eService (G2G)’, ‘Best Practice in Community eParticipation’, ‘Best eGovernment Integrated Services for Individuals or Businesses’ along with ‘Best Application for Smart Devices’. While the Private Sector Awards include the newly-added ‘Best eService’ award for this year’s edition; accompanied with the ‘Best Application for Smart Devices’. Moreover, the Citizens Awards category comprise ‘Best eConcept’.
During mid of March 2019, Jury Committee members will be announced so as to evaluate the submitted applications. Winners will be awarded by H.H. Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak AlKhalifa during the eGovernment Excellence Award 2019 ceremony that will be announced at a later stage.
