His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak patronizes Silah Gulf’s 10th anniversary celebrations

Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information & Communication Technology, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, patronized the 10th-anniversary celebrations of Silah Gulf at the Four Seasons Bahrain Bay today. along with other senior officials and VIPs.

Shaikh Mohammed made the following statement in honor of the company’s employees and public and private sector organizations that have contributed to its success:
“It gives me great pleasure to patronize this ceremony organized by Silah Gulf to celebrate 10 years since its launch. It is one of the successful initiatives that came through the implementation of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, as directed by Crown Prince and First Deputy Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and one of the key objectives of our eGovernment strategic plan.

“This ceremony recognizes the company’s successes and accomplishments, most notably its training of nearly 2,500 Bahrainis for the labor market, and the rewarding job opportunities it provides to its 750 employees, of which Bahrainis make up 83%.

“This ceremony also honors employees and stakeholders who support and sustain Silah Gulf, allowing it to provide high quality government services through a unified contact center, streamlining operations on a local and international level, and contributing towards making Bahrain a regional center for entrepreneurship.

“I would like to congratulate Silah Gulf on this occasion and reaffirm the government’s support in helping it to achieve its goals. We wish its employees and stakeholders all the best.”

Prior to a presentation on the company’s 10 year journey, Silah Gulf Chairman and iGA Chief Executive, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed thanked Shaikh Mohammed for his patronage, adding that the company is celebrating “10 years of pioneering excellence” thanks to the efforts of its Bahraini workforce and the support of its clients, who motivate it to maintain its excellence, professionalism, creativity, integrity, and team spirit, and provide services built on the latest technologies and systems.

Al Qaed added that Silah Gulf has proven its capabilities locally and regionally, offering technical support to the eGovernment portal and government entities, in addition to building a diverse database of clients and being selected as a technical consult by more than 26 public and private organizations active in the services sectors. The expansion of its operations across the Arabian Gulf serves as proof of its success and of its stakeholders trust in it.

Al Qaed expressed his pride in the company’s contribution to the local labor market, providing it with a workforce made up of experienced, efficient, multilingual Bahrainis able to offer  communications services and customer service to a wide range of sectors. This is in addition to it being led by a young Bahraini CEO.

Al Qaed said that it was also a source of pride that women represent more than 40% of its workforce, that it is one of the top 10 companies in the country when it comes to hiring Bahraini labor, and that people with special needs are also major contributors. He added that the company aims to train more Bahrainis to work in the contact center industry, which is experiencing rapid growth, not only in the Kingdom, but across the region.

He said that the company will continue to offer high quality Cloud based services, and benefit from artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance cyber security, deal efficiently with emergencies, and improve quality and customer satisfaction in its dealings with both the government and private sector, locally and regionally.

Al Qaed said that Silah Gulf is committed to sustainable growth; diversifying its revenue streams to achieve fiscal balance; improving governance; raising quality, productivity, and innovation standards; creating a climate conducive to entrepreneurship; and attracting talent and investments. This has allowed it to be a key supporter of sustainable development and the Government’s 2019-2022 Action Plan.

Shaikh Mohammed honored STC Bahrain and the iGA for being key partners and customers of Silah Gulf over the last decade. He presented awards to eight other governmental and semi-governmental clients, including the Ministry of Finance & National Economy; the Ministry of Housing; the Ministry of Industry, Commerce & Tourism; the Ministry of Labor & Social Development; the Ministry of Works, Municipalities & Urban Planning; Bahrain Airport Company (BAC); the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA); and the Tender Board. This is in addition to honoring entities supporting the company, including the Economic Development Board (EDB), the labor fund, Tamkeen, and private sector companies, such as STC Kuwait and National Bank of Bahrain (NBB).

Awards were also presented to Silah Gulf employees for excellence in performance and completion of 10 years of service.
