iGA Receives Omani Delegates

The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive Mr. Mohamed Ali AlQaed received Dr. Khalid bin Dawood AlZedjali - Acting Director General of Information System at the Muscat Municipality in Oman - during his visit to the Kingdom.

Besides AlQaed, attendance included from iGA Geographical Information Systems Acting Director Shaikha Manar bint Abdulla Al Khalifa, Governance & Enterprise Architecture Acting Director Dr. Khalid AlMutawah along with eService & Channel Development Acting Director Mr. Mohamed Abdulaziz Abdulla. Omani representatives included Director of Legal Studies Mr. Mohamed bin Suliman AlAbri together with a number of officials from both entities.

The visit aimed at addressing success stories and initiatives adopted by the Kingdom in the field of IT and eGovernment. Such visit strengthens the ties between GCC states as the national eGovernment strategy of Bahrain was presented and its role in adopting modern technology in the public sector which develops the quality of its services and raises customer satisfaction. Also, addressing national systems such as Tasareeh, Benayat as well as the re-engineering of government service procedures and creating them according to the varying needs for citizens as well as public and private entities.
