iGA receives the ISO Certification once again for IT Management

The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) attained once again the ISO Certificate 2011:20000 for IT Management, by the Bureau Veritas Company. iGA is the first governmental entity to be certified for the implementation of all rules and required standards of the certificate in addition to surpassing independent evaluation stages, auditing processes and strict tests conducted by the company.

The certificate reflects iGA continuous development at providing an advanced IT infrastructure, that assists in designing and implementing best practices in the field.

On such occasion, iGA Chief Executive Mr. Mohamed Ali AlQaed stated that re-attainment of the ISO Certificate reflects Authority’s efforts in developing the IT infrastructure in Bahrain and focusing on the innovative wheel noting the latest trends in the technology, to raise its services delivered to individuals and society by improving its quality  in a secure environment for various governmental  sectors.

AlQaed thanked all employees of ‘Operation & Governance’ Team along with the ‘Quality’ Team for their exerted dedicated efforts and continuous work in order to prepare, follow-up and audit the followed mechanisms in the internal implementation of quality standards in all related departments. This performance has supported the Authority to obtain the ISO/IEC 20000 certificate.

The ISO/IEC 20000 is a highly respected international standard in the field of Information Technology provided by the International Standardization Organization.
