Placing Golden Trophies in Selected Government Service Centers within ‘Taqeem’ Program

In appreciation of efforts exerted by government entities which were rewarded, last week, for their excellence in customer services by the Deputy King Crown Prince HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad AlKhalifa within program ‘Taqeem’. Program’s Committee Chairman Mr. Mohamed Ali AlQaed – Information & eGovernment Authority Chief Executive along with a number of committee members made field visits to entities selected for the Golden Category – portraying it as an approved government mark which distinguishes the center by providing its services according to the highest quality standards in terms of speed and efficiency. Gold trophies are also an encouragement to service center employees to continue work innovatively and effectively in order to provide citizens with the highest standards of services.

In this regard, AlQaed stated that Taqeem – launched last year – has become a true competition between government entities so as to provide excellent services to citizens and residents. He also praised the efforts exerted by all entities, their collaboration and responses to program when introduced and its standards. Mr. Mohamed highlighted that future visits will be conducted to centers to ensure their commitments to the Golden Category standards.

The committee toured around government service centers where the Chief Executive was keen on thanking center employees for their dedicated hard work to constantly improve the service and urged them to continue their efforts as they are the actual façade of the government.

Today’s tour visits included Electricity & Water Authority’s service center in Country Mall, Tamkeen’s customer service center at Seef Mall Manama, Bahrain Investors Center as well as Commerce & Tourism’s Precious Metals & Gem Testing Directorate, . Visits will continue over the two upcoming days to include: Municipal One-Stop-Shop, Identity Card Service Centers of the Information & eGovernment Authority in Isa Town, and Ministry of Interior’s Muharraq Security Complex.

In addition to the above mentioned centers, the 10 centers honored last week for their excellence in government services at their centers are: Electricity & Water Authority’s service centers in Muharraq, Tamkeen’s customer service centers in Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Identity Card Service Centers of the Information & eGovernment Authority in Seef Mall Muharraq.

Taqeem is an initiative launched by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad AlKhalifa and formed following the issuance of Resolution No. 9 of 2017 chaired by Mr. Mohamed AlQaed, Vice Chairman Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed AlKhalifa along with representatives of Education & Training Quality Authority and the National Contact Center. Others include the Civil Service Bureau, Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF), Silah Gulf Co., University of Bahrain together with the Ministry of Finance. The Committee aims to achieve a significant leap in the efficiency of government services - providing them in high quality and raising them to the best international levels. This reflects the continuous exerted efforts to develop the perception of offering services in the government sector and improve users’ experience.
