Minister of Interior H.E. Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah AlKhalifa patronized the 1st Information Security Forum ‘Thiqa’ (Trust) 2018 organized by the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) at the Public Security Officers Club. Attendance included ministers, senior officials from public and private sectors together with more than 100 information security specialists from government entities. 
On such occasion, His Excellency stressed the increasing importance of information security which has become one of the security challenges that must be dealt with locally and internationally. He also pointed out the need to continue with specialized training programs and utilization of the latest advanced technologies – enabling the strengthening of telecommunication and IT systems
