He also stressed the value of continued coordination, exchanging expertise, and the integration of digital initiatives between Gulf states to support future readiness and maintain regional and international leadership. He commended the ongoing cooperation between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in various fields, particularly in ICT, highlighting that such joint efforts represent a fundamental pillar of the national strategies of both countries, enhancing their digital transformation and government service capabilities.
Al Qaed praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its significant progress in digital transformation and the adoption of advanced technologies and AI. He noted that the Kingdom’s hosting of specialized digital events reflects its advanced capabilities and regional leadership.
The two parties discussed potential collaboration, particularly in the area of digital identity and the development of systems related to it, as well as ways to enhance integration between government digital platforms in both countries. They covered the alignment of regulatory frameworks and the development of joint coordination between the two authorities in ways that support the digital government services, innovation and adoption of AI in the public sector.
On the sideline of the meeting, Al Qaed toured the Innovation Hub operated by DGA. He was briefed on the center’s specialized labs and platforms that help government entities design and implement smart digital solutions, adopt emerging technologies, and apply AI.
