The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) invites the owners of majlises, open to the public during Ramadan, to register their majlis retails in the ‘Islamiyat’ app, provided in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Awqaf, and available through the eGovernment Apps store, bahrain.bh/apps. The initiative reflects the iGA’s commitment to fostering community partnerships and strengthening Bahraini social cohesion.

Those interested in having their majlis information listed in the app’s directory of Bahrain's daily and weekly Ramadan majlises should submit the required details, including the name of the majlis, meeting days and timings, the governorate and area, address, contact person and number, and the map-location of the majlis. This information should be sent to ramadan@iga.gov.bh between 11th February and 5th March 2024.

The ‘Islamiyat’ app offers a range of other services year-round, including an Islamic calendar, prayer timings, and a countdown to the next prayer according to the Al Zubarah and Bahrain timings, both of which are recognized by the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Waqf Seasonal services include a Hajj and Umrah travel agents directory, a list of Mosques and Quranic Centers, and Zakat and Donations as well as Zakat Calculation services, facilitating the calculation of the “nisab” amount for users based on the daily gold price. Other features include the Fa’el Khair service, available in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, which allows benefactors to identify and donate to indigent cases who have been issued court orders.

For further information, contact the Government Services Contact Center by calling 80008001 or using the National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul) or the Tawasul app. The iGA encourages the public to follow its social media accounts @igabahrain for the latest updates.
