Targets
Ggathering, analyzing and distributing geographical data related to Bahrain’s soil to support Bahrain’s agriculture.

Our Relation to the SDG
  • Launched the ‘Soil Mapping Project’.
  • Provide geographical (GIS) data for national projects.

Our Achievements
  • Soil Mapping Project which presents geographical maps by analyzing satellite images and relying on remote sensing techniques and field surveys.

Goal 9: Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation


Description
Investment in digital infrastructure to provide technological solutions for industrialization and innovation.

Targets
  • Develop quality, reliable, sustainable and resilient infrastructure, to support economic development and human well-being, focusing on affordable and equitable access for all.

Our Relation to the SDG
  • Enable access to government services on various digital channels.
  • Provide infrastructure for digital government services.

Our Achievements
  • Partnership with Amazon Web Services to provide cloud infrastructure in Bahrain.
  • Establish new digital policies for the Kingdom.
  • New version of the National Portal Bahrain.bh with personalization features.


Goal 17: Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development


Description
Establish a Partnership for Sustainable Development.

Targets
  • Facilitate and organize access to science, technology and innovation.

Our Relation to the SDG
  • Planning, designing, organizing and managing the ICT central government network that connects the Information & eGovernment Authority network along with the external network of the other government entities’ telecommunications and services.

Our Achievements
  • Establish a new digital government policies, eParticiption policy, and open government data policy for the Kingdom.
  • Guide and assist government entities in migrating servers to the cloud.
