Starting from 1st September 2019 at the Information & eGovernment Authority headquarters in Isa Town

Cases require the personal attendance for Birth & Death certificate issuance at iGA Isa Town branch
  •  Issuance of birth certificates for individuals born prior to 1994
  •  Certificate printing requests for citizen born abroad
  •  Certificate printing requests for citizens or residents who passed away within Bahrain or abroad
  •  Death or birth certificate issuances in case where they are requested by Bahraini court orders or rulings

Required documents for the personal attendance to issue birth certificate
Within Bahrain:


All hospitals notify in cases of birth and issue a personal number for parents to issue the birth certificate and the ID card online via Bahrain.bh

Outside Bahrain:
  •  Original birth certificate attested by the country of birth
  •  Copy of the father’s or mother’s passport or copy of ID cards
  •  Copy of marriage certificate (Bahraini)
  •  Copy of the applicant’s passport or ID card

Required documents for the personal attendance to issue death certificate
Within Bahrain:

  •  Medical letter detailing cause of death from the hospital or from the public security directorate at the Ministry of Interior
  •  Original passport or ID card of the applicant
*Applicant must be up to third-degree relative of the deceased


Outside Bahrain:
  •  Original and copy of death certificate issued from country of death
  •  Original passport or ID card of the deceased
  •  Copy of the applicant’s passport or ID card
