Bahrain’s Digital Projects Win at the 6th GCC Digital Government Awards in Kuwait

The Kingdom of Bahrain has been recognized for its digital initiatives and projects at the GCC Digital Government Awards. Developed by the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), the National eParticipation Platform (bahrain.bh/sharekna) won first place in the Best Practice in Community eParticipation category, while the MyGov app won the Recognition Award in the Best Unified Government app category. The Cyber Guardian Game, developed by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), also won the first place at GCC level in the Best Educational Digital Game category. The awards were presented at a ceremony hosted by State of Kuwait in cooperation with the GCC General Secretariat.

iGA Chief Executive, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed expressed pride in the achievement, noting that the recognition of the National eParticipation Platform and the MyGov app enhances Bahrain’s growing record of digital excellence under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Al Qaed emphasized that the projects’ success also reflects the vision of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and his directives towards reinforcing digital innovation and service efficiency, for the benefit of citizens and residents.
Al Qaed congratulated His Excellency General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology (MCICT), praising the committee’s efforts under his leadership in driving Bahrain’s digital transformation. He noted that Bahrain’s digital achievements showcase the committee’s dedication to driving digital transformation and integrating advanced technologies across government initiatives. 

The National eParticipation Platform fosters community engagement and public consultation, allowing citizens and residents to actively participate in decision-making and help shape digital services and national projects. MyGov app marks a key milestone in eService delivery, offering a unified and streamlined platform to access government services.
Al Qaed congratulated  National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) Chief Executive Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa on the winning of the Cyber Guardian game, which promotes cybersecurity awareness. 
Al Qaed  praised and thanked the iGA team for their exceptional work on eParticipation Platform and the MyGov app, whose excellence and hard work and dedication earned these recognitions. He highlighted the GCC Digital Government Award as a platform that celebrates Gulf achievements, promotes best practices in eService delivery, fosters regional digital integration, and advances the GCC ICT sector regionally and globally.
The GCC Digital Government Award seeks to encourage friendly competition in Governance among member states and recognizes collective efforts to improve quality of life and boost international competitiveness.
