iGA CE Chairs Equal Opportunities Committee’s 2nd Meeting, Aimed at Fostering Workplace Inclusion

Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed chaired the Equal Opportunities Committee’s second meeting for the year 2025. The session focused on strengthening equality, empowering women, and fostering an inclusive workplace, in line with the iGA’s ongoing commitment to building a fair and efficient work environment for employees.

Al Qaed welcomed the members, praising their continuous efforts to support the role of women at the iGA. The meeting covered an review of iGA’s employee needs to ensure the requirements of all groups were met. The meeting also covered the equal opportunity procedures in line with Civil Service Bureau (CSB) regulations; as well as a review of the iGA’s competency-based rules for promotions and job positions. The committee looked also at a range of services being provided by the iGA to ensure equality and inclusiveness.

The meeting featured a presentation of the latest job-satisfaction survey conducted by the iGA’s HR and Finance Directorate; the introduction of a mechanism for receiving employee suggestions on equal opportunities; and the preparation of an official circular outlining the iGA’s gender equality measures.

In conclusion, the members reaffirmed the iGA’s commitment to fostering a fair and inclusive work environment, strengthening equal opportunity principles, and supporting Bahraini women in their professional roles.
