iGA Marks Tree Week to Encourage Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility

In line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and in support of environmental awareness initiatives and commitment to environmental sustainability, the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) celebrated Tree Week at its headquarters in Isa Town by planted trees across the premises and in attendance of iGA’s senior management.

On this occasion, iGA’s Chief Executive Mr. Mohammed Al Qaed praised His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for launching this year’s Tree Week initiative, highlighting its role in promoting a culture of sustainability across institutions and the community. He also commended His Royal Highness’s directive to hold the ‘Innovation in Irrigation Solutions Competition’, which encourages the use of sustainable technologies to conserve water resources. Al Qaed highlighted the iGA’s dedication to initiatives that create a greener workplace and support national environmental projects
This initiative reflects the iGA’s ongoing efforts to promote environmental responsibility among employees and the community, and supports the National Afforestation Plan to double the number of trees to 3.6 million by 2035.
