During the panel discussion, Dr. Al Mutawa affirmed iGA’s commitment to continuously adopting and leveraging advanced technologies across various sectors to support government performance and enhance the quality and outcomes of government services. He highlighted the progress made in government services, including housing and financing services, in simplifying and streamlining procedures, thereby contributing to greater efficiency in service delivery and an improved user experience.
Dr. Al Mutawa noted that government data integration is a key pillar for delivering housing services via a unified government ecosystem that enables transactions to be completed more efficiently and supports decision-making based on accurate and up-to-date data. He also highlighted that the revamped eKey 2.0 enables secure digital authentication identity and facilitates beneficiaries’ access to housing and financing services. In addition, digital solutions supporting the housing sector, including housing services available through the Kingdom of Bahrain’s National Portal, bahrain.bh, and the “Baity ” platform, contribute to streamlining financing and homeownership procedures in cooperation with Eskan Bank.
Dr. Khaled added that enhancing integration between these services and data available from relevant government entities, including land, licensing and urban planning data through government systems such as the “Benayat” Building Permit Issuance System and the “Planning” electronic planning services platform, would reduce the need to repeatedly provide the same information and documents, accelerate verification and completion of procedures, and facilitate citizens’ access to services.
The Deputy Chief Executive for Operation & Governance noted that integrating and analyzing data enables a more comprehensive understanding of current and future housing needs, while supporting planning and decision-making processes. In this regard, he reaffirmed iGA’s continued efforts to develop the government’s digital infrastructure and enhance data exchange within clear governance frameworks, while providing reliable and secure solutions that support government entities in delivering interconnected services and making data-driven decisions, while maintaining a strong commitment to privacy and the protection of personal data.
