
Dr. Muneera Mubarak Alfadhel has 19 years of practical experience. She began her career as a trainee lawyer to a practicing lawyer, then moved to work in the Supreme Council for Women, then joined the Information & eGovernment Authority in 2014 as a legal advisor.
Among her most prominent achievements, she has participated in several important legislations that had a positive impact on the Kingdom. She has contributed to the creation of Amazon (AWS) contracts, as well as the preparation of many legislations in various fields, Domestic Violence Law in support of the women’s field, she has also worked within laws related to the technichal field through the Law of Electronic Communications and Transactions, the Cloud Computing Law, as well as the Law for Regulation of Birth and Death Registration and its executive regulations and regulatory decisions. She has also worked on contracts related to the development of internal systems and procedures, as well as the memorandums of understanding, decisions and circulars, and the provision of legal advice and opinions.
Dr. Muneera is also a member in several committees, she is the vice-chairman in the Equal Opportunities Committee and a member of the Permanent Grievances Committee in the Information & eGovernment Authority, a member the Monitoring Data Managers commitee including all Government entities, and a spoksperson on legal legislations, especially the Law for Regulation of Birth and Death Registration in which she has played a significant role in raising awareness towards it.
She has also worked on several projects including the government service reengineering project within the Kawader Project. She has also provided several training courses in the field of labour law and political rights for Bahraini women, such as the right to move between application and restriction.
Dr. Muneera also works as a part time assistant professor at the University of Bahrain teaching constitutional law, administrative law, and public finance. She also had a weekly column in Al Watan newspaper.
Dr. Muneera holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Bahrain, and holds a Master's degree from the University of Applied Sciences in Public Law, specifically in Constitutional Law, with a thesis on "The Relationship between the Legislative and Executive Powers," a comparative study. She also holds a Ph.D. from the College of Law, University of Bahrain, in constitutional law with distinction, with a thesis on “Constitutional Protection of the Principle of Equality,” a comparative study, with distinction, and a Diploma in future foresight.
