iGA Holds a Focus Group session on MyGov and eKey 2.0 Apps to Gather Feedback On User Experience
04 Jun 2025
Following the official launch of the unified MyGov app and enhanced eKey 2.0 in February, and in preparation for developing the second phase of both applications, the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) organized a focus group session at its Muharraq headquarters. The session brought together users from various sectors to share their feedback on both applications. This initiative is part of a series of sessions the iGA is organizing this year, reflecting its commitment to enhancing public participation and establishing direct communication channels with citizens.
iGA Chief Executive Mohammed Ali Al Qaed highlighted the importance of listening directly to users’ feedback, recognizing citizens and residents as key partners in the eServices development process. This reflects the iGA's commitment to public engagement, transparency, and an open door policy in line with government directives to enhance services and meet citizens and residents’ needs.
Al Qaed emphasized that the MyGov and eKey 2.0 apps mark a significant step in Bahrain’s digital transformation, enabling secure and seamless access to government services. MyGov enables users to access multiple services using the Advanced eKey 2.0, which provides unified access to public and private sector services through biometric authentication, eliminating the need for passwords.
During the session, participants shared their experiences with the apps, discussing interface design, usability, features, and accessibility. They explored opportunities to better meet user needs and support the iGA's second phase enhancements for both apps.
Participants highlighted the impact of iGA’s marketing and awareness campaigns in driving public engagement, increasing digital service adoption, and promoting digital literacy. The iGA thanked attendees for their valuable and constructive feedback, reaffirming the importance of focus groups in guiding future service development to benefit citizens and residents.
