The service replaces the previous appointment system, which required visitors to attend in person to obtain a token and wait for their turn. The new system allows users to easily book and manage appointments from anywhere and at any time through the app, while receiving notifications to confirm or remind them of their appointments in Isatown Customer Service Center.
The initiative is in line with the government’s current direction and the iGA’s efforts to advance digital transformation and enhance the experiences of citizens and residents. It also reduces waiting times, ensuring smoother transaction processing and easier access to government services.
The iGA clarifies that citizens and residents can continue to complete birth, death, and address-related transactions electronically through the National Portal, bahrain.bh For cases that require in-person attendance, appointments can be booked through the Mawaeed app.
The Mawaeed app currently includes 20 government entities and covers 46 government service centers. It serves as an effective tool for improving the service center visitor experience by organizing appointments, reducing waiting times, and enhancing the quality of services.
For more information or enquiries, citizens and residents can contact the Government Services Contact Center on 80008001, or submit their questions, feedback, and suggestions through the National Suggestions & Complaints System (Tawasul) bahrain.bh/Tawasul or via the Tawasul app at bahrain.bh/apps.
