iGA Management Systems Achieve ISO Certifications and International Accreditation

Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed expressed his pride in the iGA achieving ISO certifications and international accreditation for its Management Systems. At a meeting held via video conference, he congratulated all iGA directorates and departments, wishing them further success in serving their nation and its citizens. He thanked the Strategic Planning & Projects Directorate and Quality Control for their efforts in helping to secure ISO 9001 certification in Quality Management Systems and ISO 20000 certification in Information Technology Service Management, and for enabling 24 employees to complete Quality Management Systems Foundation Training.

Al Qaed lauded the innovation and creativity of the iGA teams who helped make this achievement possible, and allowed for the establishment of quality systems, and for the introduction of high quality eServices for citizens and residents.  

During the virtual meeting he praised the cooperation between the iGA and Bureau Veritas, which carried out an external evaluation and international accreditation of the iGA’s quality management system and provided the necessary support. He looks forward to further collaborations between the two organizations, to help develop the national workforce and help it to keep pace with local, regional, and international quality trends.

Al Qaed said that the awarding of the Quality Management Systems Foundation Training certificates to iGA employees reaffirms its commitment to the training of its teams, and reflects the employees’ dedication. He urged them to continue to develop their skills and knowledge and the quality industry to further advance their careers.

Al Qaed said that the ISO certifications support the iGA’s efforts to offer the public digital services and apps via multiple channels in accordance with the highest quality standards. He noted the role of ISO systems in determining basic organizational requirements, and the steps to be taken to achieve customer satisfaction. They also allow organizations to better identify areas for improvement in quality and IT systems.

Bureau Veritas Certification Manager Nauman Munawar congratulated the iGA on securing the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 2000-1:2018 certifications with the high levels of professionalism.
