iGA Organizes a Workshop on "AI Tools for Employee’s Productivity " for its Employees Across Different Directorates

In line with the directives of His Excellency General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology (MCICT), to reinforce national capabilities in the fields of innovation and advanced technologies that contributes to government performance and improving the quality of services, the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) organized a workshop titled “AI Tools for employee productivity”, delivered by the Innovation and Advanced Technologies Directorate team. The event was held at the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) and attended by employees from various iGA sectors directors.
During the workshop, iGA Deputy Chief Executive of Operations & Governance Dr. Khalid Ahmed Al-Mutawa delivered an opening note emphasizing that this initiative reflects the iGA’s commitment towards continuous development of its employees’ skills by offering advanced training programs that foster innovation and creativity in the workplace. He highlighted that the workshop is aligned with the contemporary need. The workshop also has provided iGA team with a deeper understanding of artificial intelligence technologies, shedding light on AI benefits and challenges, and providing guidelines on optimum utilization of available AI tools to enhance performance. Dr. Al-Mutawa extended his sincere appreciation to BIBF for their collaboration with the iGA, parsing the efforts of the Innovation and Advanced Technologies Directorate team for organizing the workshop.
On the other side, Ms. Latifa Al Abbasi, Director of the Innovation and Advanced Technologies at iGA, affirmed that the "AI Tools for employee productivity " workshop is part of broader national efforts aimed at integrating advanced technologies across government entities to enhance effectiveness and foster innovation. She stressed that the significance of the workshop is demonstrated in empowering iGA resources to explore a variety of AI tools, enabling them to work more efficiently, achieve better outcomes, and save time.
Through a combination of knowledge, practical experience, and interactive training, the workshop also provided participants with opportunities to engage directly with real-time applications relevant to their daily tasks, ensuring practical and applicable benefits in the workplace.
The training workshop covered a wide range of topics, including AI concepts and their significance, the impact of AI on individuals and professional environments, and an overview of the key applications and potential risks associated with technology. It offered detailed
insights into the concept of Prompt Engineering and how AI can be utilized to enhance interaction and deliver information effectively.
Additionally, the session highlighted the significance of Generative AI in creating images, text, videos, and more. It discussed the latest research and studies on AI’s impact on productivity in professional settings.
The workshop concluded with hands-on applications that guided participants to maximize the use of various AI tools and effectively integrate them into their work to boost quality and efficiency.
