iGA Director of Communications & Marketing, Mrs Lulwa Sami Ebrahim said that the iGA’s collaboration and participation with the General Traffic Directorate awareness pavilion is part of its ongoing efforts, in coordinating with various government entities, to enhance digital awareness and ease of use within the community. This includes highlighting key digital services, features, and information that enable users to access and complete government services easily and efficiently. The traffic awareness pavilion also provides an opportunity for direct engagement with the public, allowing the iGA to gather constructive feedback to support the development of eservices and improve the overall digital user experience.
She Mrs. Lulwa also stated that such initiatives aims to raise public awareness on a range of digital traffic services provided by the GDT, in cooperation with the authority , via the MyGov app, available on the eGovernment Apps Store, bahrain.bh/apps. These services include updating contact details to ensure citizens and residents receive traffic notifications, issuing vehicle authorization for the King Fahd Causeway, viewing vehicle ownership and driving license details, accessing ownership of license plate numbers, and information on the locations of speed camera locations, traffic service centers, and vehicle inspection centers. This is in addition to services for renewing driving licenses and vehicle registrations, as well as traffic violation payments.
Through the awareness pavilion public can enquire traffic-related services available through the National Portal, bahrain.bh, including My Traffic Record, inquiries about used vehicle records, replacements for lost or damaged driving licenses or vehicle ownership certificates, issuance of international driving licenses, and retention of license plate number.
In addition, support is available at the pavilion for the revamped ekey2.0 adoption which serves as Bahrain’s official digital identity authentication platform for accessing services across both the public and private sectors. eKey 2.0 enables secure access through biometric authentication (facial recognition), without the need to re-enter a password.
iGA invites citizens and residents to visit the traffic awareness pavilion and to follow the latest updates through its official social media accounts igabahrain.
