iGA Receives Delegation from Digital Transformation Office at Oman Foreign Ministry

In line with efforts to foster GCC cooperation and knowledge transfer in digital transformation, Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) Deputy Chief Executive of Electronic Transformation Mr. Ali Abdulaziz Janahi welcomed an official delegation from the Foreign Ministry of Oman, led by Eng. Khalid bin Ghulam Al Zadjali, Head of the Digital Transformation Office. The visit highlighted Bahrain’s leading digital initiatives and innovative government eServices.
Mr. Janahi welcomed the Omani delegation, remarking this visit that reflects the strong relationship between the two nations. He emphasized that such engagements strengthen collaboration and facilitate the exchange of expertise, and experience in the digital fields. He praised Oman's efforts in driving digital transformation and embracing cutting-edge technologies across government services.
During the meeting, iGA showcased its technological initiatives in digital transformation including strategic frameworks and national digital policies that reflects the Kingdom's commitment to building an integrated, sustainable digital ecosystem. Key national projects were highlighted, including the comprehensive digital transformation plan for government services, the national plan for mobile apps merger, and the upgraded National Portal, bahrain.bh. The iGA also showcased innovative government apps such as MyGov, Al-Tajer, Tawasul, and the National Appointment System and app, Mawaeed, which are designed to streamline procedures and enhance the digital user experience for citizens and residents.
The visit reaffirms the deepening cooperation in areas related to digital transformation between Bahrain and Oman, and reflected Bahrain’s commitment to regional and global digital integration in sharing best practices. It also comes in line with the Kingdom’s Global Digital Twinning Initiative, launched in 2024, to advance international collaboration in eGovernment and digital transformation.
