iGA Showcase the eKey 2.0 App & its digital initiatives supporting the housing sector

The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) is participating in the accompanying exhibition of the Innovation Summit in the Social Housing Sector which held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, under the theme "Towards Sustainable Housing Solutions". The event is taking place from April 23 to 25 at the Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB). The event is a strategic platform to showcase latest innovations in the housing sector, featuring the participation of government entities and private sector representatives from Bahrain and abroad.
During its participation, The Information & eGovernment Authority ( iGA) is Showcase a bundle of digital solutions developed in collaboration with various public and private sector entities. These solutions aim to support the housing sector by streamlining real estate services for citizens and providing seamless housing experience. These initiatives leverage the latest digital technologies to facilitate citizens’ journeys toward housing, contributing to Bahrain’s broader efforts to accelerate digital transformation and achieve the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
Among the key projects and initiatives presented by The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) is the newly launched eKey 2.0 mobile app that enables secure, unified access to government services through biometric facial recognition and password-less access. The app is a cornerstone in enhancing the efficiency of digital services in the housing sector, especially following its integration with the "Bayti" platform, which offers housing finance and ownership services in partnership with the Eskan Bank. This reflects the iGA’s commitment to secure digital transactions, data privacy, and the simplification of Know Your Customer (eKYC) procedures—accelerating verification processes and improving citizens’ access to housing services with ease and convenience.
In addition, the 'MyGov' mobile application was Showcase, which provides citizens & residents with access to a wide range of government services, including the ability to display government documents and certificates such as the ID card, passport, birth certificate, and others, along with 41 services from 9 different government entities available through the app. iGA is also highlighting several other services offered via the National Portal, bahrain.bh.
The iGA cordially invites the public to visit its pavilion at the Innovation Summit at hall 8, to explore the latest electronic services and digital projects supporting the housing sector. During period 23 to 25 April 2025, from 9:00am To 9:pm at the Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB) – Sakhir.
