Mrs. Noora Al-Saadoon has over 17 years of experience in the field of the economic and tourism stats. She was appointed Director of Economic Statistics at the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) in September 2021.
Beginning her career with the marketing team of the General Organization for Youth & Sport in 2003, she later took on a role at Bahrain Centre for Studies and Research before joining the Ministry of Health as a Quality Management Specialist in 2005. In 2008, she joined the Central Informatics Organization (CIO), compiling and monitoring statistical indicators.
Since 2009, Al-Saadoon has worked with the Bahrain Excellence Committee, which measures and improves performance excellence within the organizations in the Kingdom. She has worked with the Quality and Internal Audit Team as a Quality Coordinator since 2010, helping to implement ISO standards 9001:2008 at the General statistical Directorate, and following up on quality tasks with all Central Informatics Organization directorates.
Before assuming her current role at the iGA, she was Chief of the Economic Statistics Section from 2015 to 2019 and, prior to that, Head of Tourism Statistics and Project Manager of the Tourism Statistics Survey.
Al-Saadoon holds a master’s and a High Diploma in Quality in Healthcare Management from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), and a bachelor’s in Statistics and Operations Research from the University of Bahrain.
