Taqyeem: Adopting International Best Practices for Virtual Services Centres

The Government Evaluation Committee “Taqyeem” held its second meeting, virtually, which was chaired by Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed. He highlighted the important role the committee plays in enhancing the efficiency of government services.

The CE affrirmed that the directives of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to provide accessible and high-quality government services, require unique initiatives.

The committee members reviewed international benchmarks on enhancing virtual services and discussed the development of standards for the adoption of best practices within government systems, especially with the emergence of new digital government practices during the pandemic, to replace physical offices.

The committee reviewed the results of its ‘Mystery Shopper’ program, which covered 88 government service centres from 18 participating entities. The members discussed the standardisation of regulations across all entities and the use of Artificial Intelligence to bring about more efficiency.

The meeting was attended by the Vice Chairman, Dr. Raed Mohammed bin Shams, and members: Yusuf Mohammed Al Binkhalil, Dr. Hamad Ebrahim Abdulla, Osama Saleh Al Alawi, Shaikh Muath bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Dr. Mohammed Abdulla Baqer, Nada Abdulmajeed Al Qassab, Hussain Ali Al Shehab, and Fadheela Ebrahim Mohammed Al Akram, and Rapporteur, Ahmed Abul Hai Al Awadhi.
