Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive Mohammed Ali Al Qaed chaired the third meeting of the Government Service Centre Evaluation Committee (Taqyeem), which was held remotely. Al Qaed highlighted the committee’s role in improving evaluation processes related to government services with the aim of upholding quality standards and advancing them.

The committee reviewed the results of the conducted evaluation, affirming that these evaluations were carried out by an independent team composed of representatives of different government agencies that are not involved in direct service provision.  The CE discussed some of the committee’s most important recommendations and the factors that contributed to the results of the best performing government service centers, identifying those that met the requirements for the Gold and Silver shields.

Al Qaed highlighted the committee’s work in making this round of evaluations (Taqyeem 3) a success. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining high quality services as it proceeds with its efforts towards digitisation and increasing the efficiency of government services. The CE noted the implementation of the mystery shopper program and conducted field visits during the evaluation which helped achieve more transparency.

The committee also reviewed the results of the conducted public survey on improving the committee’s procedures, which was prepared in line with the outcomes of a seminar held with government officials last March. The event was held in cooperation with the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) and the National Communication Centre (NCC).

Also attending the meeting were Vice Chairman Dr. Raed Mohammed bin Shams and members Yusuf Mohammed Al Binkhalil, Dr. Hamad Ebrahim Abdulla, Osama Saleh Hashem Al Alawi, Shaikh Muath bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Dr. Mohammed Abdulla Baqer, Nada Abdulmajeed Al Qassab, Hussain Ali Al Shehab, and Fadheela Ebrahim Mohammed Al Akram and Rapporteur Ahmed Abul Hai Al Awadhi.
